Bad Parenting and Antisocial Children
Antisocial disorder is characterised by a pervasive pattern of disregard and violation of the rights of other people, which can include activities such as breaking the law, compulsive lying, chronic irritability and impulsiveness, and acts of violence without remorse or sense of responsibility. It is considered a personality disorder because it is strikingly different from what is considered the norm or within the bounds of culture and tradition.
One of the common causes of antisocial disorder is bad parenting. Parents who were too lenient or lacked the interest of imposing discipline on their child breed antisocial human beings. As a matter of fact, such attitudes can be associated with convicted felons. In addition, even the inconsistency in discipline can also lead antisocial individuals.
